I think there’s a line between appreciation and objectification. This is about when it’s crossed. I’ve had men in the workplace tell me that they like my hair, or something similar, and it didn’t bother me. Context, tone and setting make a huge difference. Ultimately, I think every PERSON is justified in dictating how they’d like to be approached, addressed, etc. And yes, others should either respect that and fall in line or not engage the person at all.
